In many countries people have a special day for mums. On this day children say "Thank you" to their mothers, give them cards and flowers and help them at home.
Russia. In Russia, Mother’s Day is on the last Sunday of November. Children make cards and presents at school, and families have a nice dinner together.
Great Britain. In Britain, people celebrate Mothering Sunday in spring, three weeks before Easter. Children often give their mums flowers and make breakfast in bed for them.
The USA. In the USA, Mother’s Day is on the second Sunday of May. It is a very popular holiday: people buy millions of cards and flowers for their mums and grandmothers.
How do children say "мама" in English? British children say Mum or Mummy, and American children say Mom or Mommy.
